The weather was perfect to go to the Peahi beach today.

I made sure to put on sunscreen though because I didn’t want to damage my new skin!

OK… I’m A Skin Hoarder.

If I had to choose my worst hoarding weakness in SL… it would probably be skins. Yes… I am a hair whore and a shoe whore, but skins get me every time! I pick up free skins, and skins on sale.. and even the occasional full priced, break your linden bank varieties. Lucky for me (and all of you too!), this time the skin I am in now is a free group gift! You can find this lively Pepina skin as a group gift at Modish after you activate your inworld group tag. There is a 10L fee to join.

Insufferable Dastard sent out these Soulful V2 Beachy Eyes to subscribo members this afternoon in both regular and mesh versions.

It’s Dirty Work… But Somebody’s Gotta Do It

Serena decided that this would be a good day for me to go outside and clean up the yard, so here I am… stalling. For starters, the snow is starting to melt, and the ground is a sludgy mess. Plus, it looks like the dogs have left some “presents” around for me to clean up. So basically, it’s a mess out here. Thank goodness I have my new Wellies… at least, they were new when I put them on. Anyway, these awesome, mesh boots are the latest group gift from SF Design (100L to join), and come in clean as well as dirty versions. My clothes – pants, jacket, and hat – are the current group gift from Ydea (free to join). They come with a pair of shoes, but I didn’t want to get them all muddy out here.

Can you believe I got this skin for 1L? That’s right – I picked up Mikael Warface Milk from P E A U on the Marketplace for 1L. And my eyes are a free, wearable demo of Insufferable Dastard mesh eyes; buy the box on the counter for 0L.

I guess I’ve stalled for long enough now. Off do do battle with the great outdoors!

Afternoon Ice Skating

My little corner of Second Life is starting to warm up (a little), but it’s still cold enough for an afternoon of ice skating. I’m such a klutz and tend to spend more time on my fanny than I do upright. But Gavin played hockey in high school and still gets around pretty well on his old skates. Duncan, my Great Dane, is such a protector… he’s not sure yet how he feels about Gavin, but would rather not get his paws all cold and wet, so he keeps watch from the sidelines. Good thing… I’d probably fall on him anyway!

Today I’m wearing a super-cozy, mesh sweater dress, the Cold Winter Nights Hunt prize from !gO! (there is also a male version in the box). All prizes in this hunt are 10L, and will be available until February 15th. Gavin’s sweater is the Winter Wonderland Hunt gift from Rispetto Designs. WWL Hunt gifts are free (0L) and are available until February 15th. Completing the look, Gavin added a pair of mesh jeans, also from Rispetto Designs, which you can still find under the Christmas tree for a few more days (hurry!). His texture-change scarf is a free gift from ::[MrPoet]::. And those hockey skates? The CWNH prize from [ Organica ]. I picked up this cute pose at the Valentine’s Sale at Glitterati Poses; all couples and friend poses are on sale until February 21st.

The skin I’m in today is the Femboy Hunt gift from .::WoW Skins::. This is a female skin that comes with and without cleavage. Prizes in the FBH are 2L, but you’ll need to hurry because the hunt ends today! I picked up my cute hair for 70% off at the [Elikatira] Retirement Sale. EVERYTHING in the store is on sale until February 23rd, and then everything will be retired. So don’t miss this fabulous sale! Oh, and my earrings, which you can barely see, are a dollarbie from Addiction Jewelry. You’ll find them in a gift box on the table when you walk in.

Gavin’s skin is the Xmas Gift in the male group gift box from -Belleza- (250L to join); it comes in several different shades. At the Cinema with Fennux and 22769

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the Cinema event yet, you are missing out! Many designers have made exclusive designs themed around the movies for sale only at this event. I made my way to the concession stand and found a LOT of FREE yummy goodies made by the sponsors. Everything from popcorn, slurpies, nachos, sodas, candies, etc. I was in snack heaven! I walked into the 3D theater where I found a creature sitting in my favorite seat! I learned about him by joining the Fennux group for free and got my own 3D Glasses Fennux Grabber Pet. It’s a good thing I found a pair of free 3D glasses for myself at Insufferable Dastard in the Sci-Fi theater. I was dressed to impress thanks to an exclusive outfit from 22769 in the Action theater where I picked up the Diktator Jacket in Red and Diktator Pants in White.

Vintage Vanity

I am doing a little mixing up of the fairs here… but this free skin with the plump glossy lips made by JeSyLiLo called Asin that can be found that The Vanity Fair just went so well with the deep burgandy Thanatos Dress that is currently a group gift at the Vintage Fair inMonster location. Insufferable Filthy Dastard… In A Bikini

Yep, it’s me in a bikini… again… I must be having a summery beachy kind of day! Paper.doll has a second VIP gift for May that I just noticed today. It’s the Mix N’ Match VIP Kini that includes the string bikini top, and a few pairs of mix and match bottoms in co-ordinating colours. The group is 200L to join, but they always have such cute group gifts, it’s worth the fee!

The skin I am wearing is Filthy Skin’s group gift for June! As Carson mentioned in an earlier post, the Filthy inworld group is free to join, but only until June 8th when the fee goes back up to 199L. They offer monthly gift skin sets for both men and women – so this is a great group to join NOW, while its free and stay in it! The June group gift comes in a few skin tones, and includes cleavage options as well as a shape (not shown).

It’s a good thing I joined the Insufferable Dastard subscribo this morning while I was picking up the free gift and free wearable demo in store because they sent out June’s group gift this afternoon which is a gorgeous pair of bright aqua eyes.

If you are in the market for some adorable outdoor furnishings, you should check LISP! They have a ton of fantastic decorative items and furniture priced at 0-10L in their store as well as in their marketplace store. I picked up the Sunbathing Set shown above today for 10L on marketplace and it’s adorable! The sunbathing pillow includes 8 animations including reading and applying the wearable sun cream. Soaking Up Some Sun

It’s a beautiful sunny day out today in RL and SL… as it always is lol, perfect day for skipping out on work and heading to the beach to soak up some sun! Ashmoot has the perfect bikini set out as a group gift for it’s inworld members. Their group is free to join and there are previous gifts on the group gift wall too.

The big floppy sunglasses are just a picmonkey sticker (Oh how I love picmonkey!), but underneath those fun shades are some brand new peepers! Insufferable Dastard has a couple of sets of free eyes in store you should go check out! The first pair shown below is a Thank You Gift and is sitting out for free at the customer service desk. (Don’t forget to hit the subscribo on the wall behind it – there is a free lip tattoo gift in there too – not shown). The Thank You Gift eyes include 1 pair of regular eyes, 1 pair of prim eyes, 2 prim bases and 2 types of prim shine. The second pair of free eyes I found at Insufferable Dastard is shown to the right below. It is sold as a demo, but is a wearable pair of mesh eyes called Reflections in Sunset. They really are fantastic eyes!
