Queen Of The Nerds?

I’m a not so secret nerd. And I love when I get to be fashionable and nerdy at the same time. Today I’d like to how you just a few of the group gifts that are being offered at EPIC. Now, don’t hate me, but there is a 350L group joiner fee, but the gifts are amazing!

I’ve always been a nerd, let me admit that – so seeing this Classic Nintendo mesh dress totally made my day! It comes in the grey (as shown) and in a light pink as well. It comes in five mesh sizes, and I’ve accessorized with the grey arm warmers also available to the group! The necklace and earrings are a subscribo gift from Miel. The beads and strings are colour-change, and I chose blush for this picture. The leggings I have on can be found as a freebie on the Marketplace here. Plastik Is A Girl’s Best Friend

Wow, my first post as a FabFree blogger! Persephone Sorbet here, but call me Perse! I’m super excited to be given the opportunity to share my love of freebies with the SL community. So, let’s get started!

For my first look, I want to show you all some of the lovely gifts offered by The Plastik. The creator has generously put out two separate gifts – one for the month of April and one in honour of boobies! In this instance, mesh breasts. I eagerly unpacked each box and immediately knew what I wanted to show you guys. Each gift box is 10L, but you get so many things inside each one, I totally recommend buying both.

These Aeda slacks come with many cuff options, for skinny leg, flare leg, digilegs, animal legs, and capris! She also includes a short pair for shorts and minis! I also want to talk about this fabulous corset: it’s called Volkano, and it sure is hot! It comes on all layers, and also includes an applier for Tango breasts. It looks awesome either way! The Anathema Jean boots I have on are also from the Plastik, and are 100% mesh. I am wearing the XL size, and they’re a great fit. They come with three different show colour options – black, colour, and white.

Now, there’s another freebie in my post that I want to mention – although there isn’t a close up, the lovely green eyes I have on are the free gift from Poetic Color. They are incredibly realistic and are absolutely free! My nails are a Pink Fusion hunt prize from . The bracelet is a lovely full perm freebie from BoHo Hobo, and comes in a few patterns and colours.

Show Me the Shoes

Have you ever started getting dress, and got to the point where you had the grand task of trying to find the perfect shoes? This is my dilemma on the daily. I stand on my pose stand, plucking through the items of my inventory, trying to find the right pair of shoes for a particular outfit. I attach, I detach… I attach, I detach, the endless cycle that usually ends with me wearing one of my “go-to” shoes. You know the pair, they usually go with everything, and it makes life easier to just suck it up and put them on… especially when you have impatient family members telling you to hurry up and finished getting dressed. Well the other day, I said, enough was enough, I needed to find more shoes! Because we all know, a lady can never have too many shoes. RIGHT?!

So my first stop on my hunt for shoes, was a trip to VG shoes. The last time I went there, I was not disappointed. So on my return trip, I was all to thrilled to see some new goodies.

Item one is their VG Moto Unisex Olive boot, which does come with resize scripts for adjusting the size. When I first put them on, they were a little too big, so I went ahead and made them smaller. My favorite part about these shoes, are the studs! It is an excellent decorative touch!

The second item up for grabs are these VG Dolce Nude shoes! I get excited just thinking about them! I love it when designers allow for texture changes through a hud. This means, you can remix the look of the shoe to match the outfit you are wearing. The overall shoe remains nude, but where you see the red, that can be changed to a few other patterns through the shoe hud. You can also change the spike and studs from silver to gold!

Now the shoes aren’t free, you have to join the free VG shoes group in order to purchase each pair of shoes for $15L. All together this was $30L’s well spent!

My last shoe find was from Just Designs, they currently have this beauty out as a group gift. The group is free to join, and these JD Deviant shoes are free for the taking. The detail, the fierceness, the whole design of the shoe just demands a closer look! I do have to give some credit to my mom, she’s the one that told me about this find! Hi^5!

I Can Barely See – Part 2 of 2

I’m baaaack I want to start by saying… this blog format doesn’t really support wide shots well, so click on the pictures to see a larger photo in my flickr photostream!  Earlier I posted part 1 of I Can Barely See which explained everything I am wearing, but nothing about my super cool new What Next Bloggerista Corner that I put together with 135L.  Most of the pieces were free!

It all started with the What Next Blogger Office that was 100L on marketplace and includes the desk, animated chair, dotty rug, shelf, blogger peg board, the WRITE sign and several fun desk accessories and decorative items. The “I Think Therefore I Blog” peg board was included with the blogger office, however you can purchase this peg board separately on marketplace in a few different colours for 10L if you don’t wish to purchase the whole set.

The Blogger’s Armchair was just 25L and co-ordinates well with the other Blogger office items.  It comes with bloggerista bells and whistles as well like books, and laptops and coffee.

Also in the What Next Marketplace store, I found the 2 pc Summer Prints, the Paper Mannequin and the 3pk of wall decals for free.

That is indeed a cat bed, even if Bundle2 thinks it’s a dog bed. He thinks everything is a dog bed… Madcat is probably hiding under the chair, but that is his new Cottage Cat basket and matching picture frame.  The bed is texture change, and the photoframe is modifiable to add your own photos.  Both of these items are sold together for 10L in the What Next Marketplace shop.

To Tango, Or Not To Tango? That Is The Question

If you are in the market for a nearly free stunning mesh gown, you should take a visit to Sassy!  They  are participating in the Tango Train Hunt that runs until April 5th and their prize is the champagne coloured Starlet Gown.  The Tango Train Hunt is a hunt geared towards those who wear the Lola Tango breasts, however some of the prizes… like this one for example can be worn with or without the Tangos!  The hunt icon you are to seek is a triangle sign with a train on it, and it will cost you 5L to pick up.

The Spring Is Near Hunt Is A Real Hoot!

The Spring is Near Simwide hunt that is being held at Acid Lily Is still running, and will run until April 9th which gives you plenty of time for hunting!  The Adorable Owl Dress that I am wearing is a gift hidden in a lady bug icon, priced at 5L.  This mesh design is made by LavandaChic and comes in several sizes with an alpha layer.

Another prize I am displaying is the MishMish Shrubbies Plushie (5L) that comes with an animated pose / no pose option.  I have no idea what a Shrubbies is, but it’s awfully cute!

A Guest Post: Devin Vaughn On The RMK Gothic Bunny Hunt

Hi, DevinVaughn here. I’m a menswear blogger at Fashion Freebies For Men who is helping on this year’s Bunny Hunt at RMK Gothic. Love Trill invited me to FabFree as a guest blogger. STORYLINE: A fall from such a height should have resulted in injuries, however Alice was unharmed. She fell on top of the March Hare who had been waiting for the White Rabbit. The March Hare grumbled insults at her she dare not repeat. He dusted himself off, then checked if his horn or fingers were broken.

The outfit for the March Hare is actually an outfit for the women with a nice mesh jacket and corset shirt, but I thought this menswear like outfit had so many nice elements, I could not resist flipping it for male by switching the jacket and shirt. Results I think are good, especially with the MnM rigged boots. Fun.

The Cheshire neko outfit from RokumeikaN comes in both male and female versions. The ladies have a skirt with patterned armwarmers, the men have pants with a strap between the legs. Dangerously Lethal

When I think about the word lethal, I think edgy, risky, exciting, and ready to go against the grain to stand out. Ladies, I think you are all lethal enough to pull off these group gifts from Lethal. The other day I was at the store with my mother, and while she was buying up the place, I came across their section of group gifts. The outfit above is a mixture of two group gifts, called LC Chain Legging & Suspender and LC Distress Booties . The outfit itself leaves little to the imagination, but you can choose to add a crop top. We all know some people aren’t prepared for all your sexiness. The shoes are an older group gift that is still available. I talked about these booties last year around Halloween, and mentioned how much I loved them. I still love these shoes and wear them from time to time in post, because they just about go with everything.

The other gift they have available are these gold leggings, which I paired with their not free over-sized denim jacket. I must say, I love gold… seriously.. gold is my favorite metal/color. Therefore, I will wear these legging until they bust at the seams!
