If I were wearing this dress in real life, I’m certain that I would not be prancing through a meadow with deer. However, when I’m taking photos with my RL daughter hanging over my shoulder yelling, “Mommy, Mommy, DEER! Take a picture of the deer! You HAVE to take a picture of yourself with the deer,” then you take a picture of yourself with the deer. So… here we are. Me. And deer.

And a gorgeous gown from Sascha’s Designs! Sascha’s gives a new, different gown to group members every, single month. Plus, past years’ gowns are still out, yours for the taking! Isn’t that worth the 100L join fee? I think so! The skin I’m in today is Charm/Snow by Cupcakes, and is part of a huge gift for signing up for their subscribo. This particular skin comes with black, blonde, brown, and red brows, 4 lipsticks, teeth and freckles tattoos, and a set of eyes. And let me dispel a myth: Cupcakes is not closing. They are retiring their full permission developer kits, but will still be selling the Cupcakes brand of skins. It’s all good.

A few days ago, reader Jadelynne mentioned that you can wear the new Slink Nail Appliers without mesh hands, and I’m happy to say that she’s absolutely right! Behind the mesh hands display at Slink is a vendor for Slink Mesh Nails (150L). The nails auto-fit to your hands, and you can use all of your Slink Nail Appliers with these nails! This sweet, Elegant Rose Dress is by DemotiK, and is available for just 10L at The Wash Cart Sale. It also comes in red, if that’s more your flavor. My hair is the latest release from “”D!va”" for the March round of Collabor88. Two styles come in the box, and you can wear them with or without the color-changing ribbon and flowers. I’ve sized it way down to fit, of course, but one reason I love “”D!va”" hair so much is because I can size it to fit my petite avie. “More bang for your buck,” if you know what I mean (make a copy first)!

A Jolie Fleur du Soir

Gavin is humoring me today while I “play pixie” again.

I wanted to show you this gorgeous petite dress, La Fleur du Soir, the current group gift at Kastle Rock Petites. The group is free to join, and the sim is simply lovely, so be sure to give it a wander. You can see a little peek of it behind us (please click to enlarge).

Gavin is wearing the latest group gift from *Ydea*, also free to join. Included are the mesh hoodie jacket, shirt and tie, jeans, and shoes. Gavin’s Rhett hair is a pre-opening, sneak peak from brand-new designer { Quandry }. You can pick it up at the preview price of 100L for a little while longer at {EPIC}. 5 colors are included in the box, all with a little, red tip in the front. Scarlett, a long braid, is also on preview for the ladies.

What I really wanted to show you is this skin. Aeva // Heartsick is currently having a sale, with lots of skins available for 100L each. When I saw that they were previewing a couple of new petite skins, I was intrigued, and tried the demo. Jolie Petite comes in several different shades, and includes a red, rose outfit in the box. Now, I won’t lie to you; it’s a bit of a pain putting a new skin over your petite avatar. Nothing at all like putting a new skin on your “biggie.” But it’s not hard – read the directions! – and I think the results are definitely worth it! Have you ever seen lips like this on a petite before?

My earrings are not free, but they are on sale at !ELEMENTAL PETITE for 50L. They are texture change with silver/gold metals, and 4 different gems. My hair is a free group gift from “”D!va”" (free to join; 30,000 Members Gift), and I’ve sized it waaaaay down to fit. All the “”D!va”" hairs I’ve tried are resizeable, and can be made to fit petite avatars; be sure you take a copy first. This one includes flowers, which I’m not wearing, a “wig” with a couple of extra buns, and there’s even a dress in the box!

UPDATED 2/20/13 12:37 PM SLT: Great news! The designer has put the 2 Jolie Petite skins back out for sale because so many people were asking for them! They are still for sale at 100L/per shade so hurry over and grab them. I just picked up the Black Rose version, and I can’t wait to try it. She will also be putting out a 10L petite skin at The Wash Cart Sale, which opened today and Love wrote about this morning. I haven’t seen it yet, so let me know what you think if you try it!

Poison in the Water

I’ll admit that I know almost nothing about Gorean culture and role-play, but I do know a good mesh dress when I see one! This Poison dress is the latest group gift from ::The Sweet Pea::, a new-to-me store selling Gorean/Medieval clothing for women. I love the rich, vibrant colors and the sexy cut of the collar. ::The Sweet Pea:: group is free to join, and you’ll find the dress in the notices — but hurry, because it will only be there for a few more days! I’m carrying water from the well using one of The Water Bearer poses from *~*HopScotch*~*, on sale at the current round of Zodiac – Aquarius (ends 13 February). I’m sorry to say that I was not very good at any of the games, although I did mange to score a hula hoop and a jelly bean shooter. There are some really nice prizes available, so I’m sure I’ll go back and try my luck again! Also, some of the vendors in the regular sales areas have freebies set out, so be sure to take a look around. I even found a couple of the crystals still out from the Crystal Hunt held several months ago!

FYI, if you land at the regular landing spot, look or fly around to find the floating, purple cake – that’s where the Anniversary Market and carnival are located. I couldn’t find a way to TP over, but there is a long suspension bridge to walk across… or you can just fly. That’s why fairies have wings, right?

Last Chance For Romance…

The Winter Romance Hunt, that is! This hunt is for Petites, Minikins, Littles, Immortals, and other small, mesh avatars. The prizes are not free, but are only a petite 5L. Unfortunately, the hunt ends TODAY, so if you want any of these great gifts, you need to get hunting NOW!

On the left I’m wearing the Appasionata Gown from Kastle Rock Couture Petites (#6). On the right is the Fantasie Dress in Silver from Bitsy Boutique (#1), sized for Petites, Immortals, and Minikins.

My necklace and earrings are not from the hunt, nor are they free… but they are on sale as part of the My 60L Secret Weekend Sale at Petite !Elemental Jewelry. I’m guessing that means they will only be on sale this weekend, so there’s something else you need to hurry to scoop up! The jewelry is texture change, with silver and gold metals, and 4 different types of gems and beads. I know you can’t see the earrings because they’re buried in my hair, but they look just like the large gem hanging on the necklace. There is also a WRH prize at Petite !Elemental Jewelry (#12), but can you believe I forgot to wear it for the pictures? It’s a cute set of His & Hers bracelets… go get them!

This sweet, beaded snowflake gown with the fur stole is from Sister Fate Petites (#8). There is also a handsome prize for men in the box. The Shiny Bench Set in Green is from ~Geniwian~ (#18), and includes the bench, coffee table, rug, and vase of flowers. The bench has sits for couples as well as singles.

This comfy Winter Romance Loveseat is the prize from PRIME Petite (#4). It includes 3 couples animations, and offers a glass of wine and reading material, if you feel so inclined. My pajamas are part of the prize from Sweet Petites (#15); there is also a matching pair for males. Wow, I really need a pedicure.

Before you head out into the cold, be sure to pick up the prize from Ema’s (#27). Included are the sweather, jeans, scarf, hat, and boots. There’s also a prize for the men. Wishing You a Merry Christmas… And Gifts from LMD

I can’t believe that Christmas is tomorrow – I just can’t wait! And all these presents under the tree reminded me to tell you about the great advent calendar gifts available at Leri Miles Designs. There’s been a new gift every day since December 1st, and they’re all still available! Not all of them are free though, but many of them are, and none are over 100L. This mesh blouse and mesh high-waist slacks are both from the calendar; I love the bow belt and the cute candle design. My necklace and earrings are SEQUOIASTYLE’s Peace on Earth Hunt prize, and my sparkly stiletto pumps are the Joyful Christmas Hunt prize at Baby Monkey. My hair and skin are both from this month’s round of My Attic @ The Deck. The hair is ::Exile::’s Waiting for Tonight (how appropriate!) which comes with an elegant color-change tiara pin, and my skin is Glam Affair’s Renee Christmas Edition. Both were a bargain at 95L each! My Attic will be open until December 31st.

Wow, look at all these presents! No one will notice if I open just one, right? Here, I’m wearing a mesh blouse and pants from LMD, with shoes from under the Christmas tree at Baby Monkey (group gift), and jewelry from !Elemental Jewelry’s Peace on Earth Hunt gift. Oh, and my comfy chair and Christmas tree with presents are both Candy Cane Hunt 4 prizes from Dreamscapes Art Gallery, and the Gingerbread Pendulum Clock – which keeps real SL time, by the way! – was today’s advent gift from ***Sway’s***.

This warm sweater dress is another advent gift from LMD. My shiny, mesh Jango boots are a group gift from Finesmith, and my Snowflake earrings are freebies from Chop Zuey Couture (no group required). Oh, and this cute pose with the present is by aDORKable Poses, currently available at The Arcade Gacha. Gosh, I wonder what’s inside this box anyway? It’s been wiggling and making some awfully strange noises!

My cozy, hooded sweatshirt dress and Uggs Snowflake boots are also both from the LMD advent calendar. These Nordic Leggings are part of the December group gift from Izzie’s, which Love wrote about here. My gold Ma Songe earrings are free gifts from Chop Zuey. I don’t know how long the LMD advent gifts will be available, so hurry on over there before it’s too late!

Oh my goodness… it’s a puppy! Since she came to me on Christmas Eve, I’ve decided to name her Nessie, from the Latin/Gaelic for “holy…” and also, she’s a little bit of a monster! Good thing I have lots of warm clothes for those late night puppy potty-training sessions!

I Am the Ghost of Christmas Presents From TWA

Now look upon this incredible dress, Ghost of Christmas Present, which is this week’s group gift from The White Armory. Made of a dreamy, green velvet, it has hanging chains and a sheath for my sword (which I seem to have misplaced at the moment). It even has an optional front panel – which I’m not wearing here – with “urchins” on it, looking as if they are playing in the skirts. I love the holly leaves and berries on the bodice and crown.

The White Armory group is free to join, but not in the usual way. You must send a notecard in-world to Ida Donardson, and she will add you to the group. You will not regret the extra effort, I promise, as the weekly group gifts are stunning. New gifts are put out every Sunday, so hurry over today if you would like this one!

My skin is the exquisite Gaia Vintage Love from [PXL], which can be yours for a mere 10L when you find the red and black With Love Hunt box. The medallion I’m wearing is the elegant Renaissance Hunt gift from !Elemental Jewelry (there is also a men’s version in the box). You can see the holly on the bodice here, and how it cleverly hides my… you know… but still shows a peek-a-boo hint of skin. I am a ghost, after all, so I suppose I should display some modesty if I want to scare some sense into old Ebenezer Scrooge.

Also available to group members this month is this special Christmas dress, Rose Chalice. This one is cut aaaaaalll the way up the side, and shows a lot of sexy leg! I found these Dee Dee shoes from :: Masha :: on the Marketplace for only 10L. There’s a cute, silver bow on the side and a super-high, skinny stiletto heel which you can’t see from this view. I should definitely get Scrooge’s attention in this dress!

My jewels arrived just in time as an advent gift from Virtual Impressions. The Theresa set is all yummy red pearls and rubies, and a perfect match for this dress. Virtual Impressions’ advent gifts are available to group members only, but the group is free to join.

Oh look, there’s my sword! I’m off now to share the spirit of Christmas with Ebenezer Scrooge, and maybe a few others along the way. In the immortal words of Tiny Tim: “God bless us every one.”
