Indulging in JAVA & VG Shoes

Look at me in my pinup style pose in the club like I own the place! Well let me hurry up and tell you how I got the look before the real owner finds me here. The shoes I am wearing is a group gift from VG shoes store called, Play. They have a gorgeous creamy gold color that almost compliments any other color outfit you might wear. In fact, when I was preparing for this post, I put the shoes on first and  then went through my inventory trying on different outfits until I found a complimenting match.

Then an idea hit me like a bag of shoes, JAVA Fashion Designs  has a Paisley Girl Joan Mini Dress that would go perfect! So I went scrambling into my inventory, and slipped it on, confirming that the two items went together like peanut butter and jelly. Oh, and let me tell you something about JAVA. If you join the group, which is $75L fee, the designer Simone Udimo sends out at least 2-3 outfits a week. The store has a variety of non-mesh and mesh outfits at very very, did I say very, reasonable prices. The dress I have on was sent out in a group notice, and just in case its not in the notice anymore, you can find it in store for $25L.

I also want to give a thank you to Purple Moon for sending out these beautiful diamond Diva Earrings in honor of Women’s Day. Definitely added the cherry on top of the sundae for this outfit.

A Dirty Little Secret @ The Wash Cart Sale

Confession: I sometimes sing and dance around my house when no one is looking. Ok, Nessie is looking, and she probably thinks I sound like a sick cat. But she’s a good sport and always puts up with my silly antics.

These Spring Love Letter Jeans are not mesh, but they do come in both gray and pink. I still haven’t figured out what they say, but the writing is pretty. These mesh flats are texture-change with 3 different colors/patterns. You can even change the amount of shininess!

I Love Noel in the Springtime

It’s no secret that I love fantasy clothing. I don’t role-play; I just like to dress dress the part. Anyway, this lovely satin, brocade gown is -Lara- Turquoise, the February group gift from *Aggressione*. The group is free to join, and when you do, you’ll get another little giftie just for joining! Feeling the Love on Valentine’s Day

I’m in love! Yeah, I know, who doesn’t love a man in a tuxedo, right? Lucky for Gavin, I found this snazzy mesh tux at Sin Original as part of the Love Love Hunt. Even the shoes are included – not bad for only 1L! He’s also wearing the new Goldy Teal gift eyes from Amacci – no group join is needed.

My dress is a free Valentine’s Day gift from Snowpaws; there is also a petite version available, so ladies of all sizes can look dazzling today. Oh, and I got our dancing pose at the Valentine’s Sale at Glitterati Poses; all couples and friends poses are on sale until 21 February.

Gavin is a great guy, but I’m so in love with these SHOES! I joined the [Gos] Boutique group for free back when it first opened up, and I’m so glad I did; these special edition Grace Sandals Red Glitter are a brand-new gift for group members. The join fee is 500L now, but… the Grace Sandals regularly cost more than the join fee, so pick up this gift and you’ve got your $L back. Part of what makes these shoes so amazing is the skin matching. To say that it’s easy – and it works! – would be an understatement. Seriously, a couple of clicks and you’re done. I would personally like to thank all the wonderful designers for their generosity this Valentine’s Day. Today has honestly been like Christmas all over again; while I was taking these photos, it seemed like a new gift came through every few minutes! If you get a chance, thank a designer.

I even found a couple of the crystals still out from the Crystal Hunt held several months ago!

FYI, if you land at the regular landing spot, look or fly around to find the floating, purple cake – that’s where the Anniversary Market and carnival are located. I couldn’t find a way to TP over, but there is a long suspension bridge to walk across… or you can just fly. That’s why fairies have wings, right?

Afternoon Ice Skating

My little corner of Second Life is starting to warm up (a little), but it’s still cold enough for an afternoon of ice skating. I’m such a klutz and tend to spend more time on my fanny than I do upright. But Gavin played hockey in high school and still gets around pretty well on his old skates. Duncan, my Great Dane, is such a protector… he’s not sure yet how he feels about Gavin, but would rather not get his paws all cold and wet, so he keeps watch from the sidelines. Good thing… I’d probably fall on him anyway!

Today I’m wearing a super-cozy, mesh sweater dress, the Cold Winter Nights Hunt prize from !gO! (there is also a male version in the box). All prizes in this hunt are 10L, and will be available until February 15th. Gavin’s sweater is the Winter Wonderland Hunt gift from Rispetto Designs. Let’s Go Fly a Kite!

It was so beautiful outside today that I grabbed my kite and took Nessie along for some playtime at the dog park. She was going a little stir crazy, and frankly so was I! This cute Carora dress was sent out to Hucci subscribers recently, and seemed perfect for a warm day at the park. It has a belt in “midnight” as well as the yellow one I’m wearing, and it comes in standard, as well as “curvy” mesh sizes. My kite pose and prop is a free gift from aDORKable Poses; you’ll find it in the corner next to the entrance.

My jewelry is the Flower Season Set by Moonshadow, and is a free gift on the Marketplace. My hair is mint earth from Analog Dog, and can be found in the “freebie bubble” down on the beach (fly over the store and down to the beach where the trailer is parked). I love the windblown look to this hair. Who needs a brush? We’re having too much fun!

Ma Vie en Teal

Taxi! TAXI!!

Why is it so hard to get a cab in this town? I thought if I showed a little leg using this sexy pose by Ma Vie I’d get a cab right away for sure.

No such luck… looks like I’ll be “hoofing it” to the party. Oh well, at least I’ll look good doing it. This stunning, teal cocktail dress is one of this month’s group gifts from Hudson’s Clothing Co. (free to join). The textures in this dress are really amazing, and the skirt and bow come with a resizer script. I’ve added a pair of black Classic Satin Stilettos by Abi’s ~ Affordable Living, which I found on the Marketplace for only 10L. My Gothic Lace Hand Bag – which I’ve shown before, but I love it! – is by ::Duh!::, and is texture-changing, with 3 different metals and 5 colors. Not a bad deal for 25L!

Another gift for Hudson’s group members this month is this lovely Black Moonstone necklace and earrings. As with the dress, the textures are really very detailed, and both the earrings and necklace come with a resizer script. And as I mentioned before, my fun, sexy poses are by Ma Vie; the Revealed set of 10 poses is available today for 60L as part of Lazy Sunday.

Soleil, Candy, and Coco at the Beach

That title sounds like an exotic drink, and to be honest, I could really have used one today. For starters, it was Monday, and that should have been bad enough, right? Well, it wasn’t, and making matters worse, my car battery was DOA this morning, leaving me grounded for the day, and my dog left me a little “gift” on the carpet. Thankfully, I didn’t get any gum on my shoes like Love did, but I did run into a couple of doors. Sheesh! So the first chance I got, I grabbed my bag and headed out to the beach for a little peace and quiet.

Needing something comfy to wear, I slipped into this pretty, mesh maxi-dress, which is Prism’s Night of the Wolf Hunt gift (#87). Just perfect for strolling along a sunny SL beach in January.

In my “stressful day survival kit,” I have all the essentials for relaxing at the beach: water, sunscreen, my iPad, and a couple of fashion mags. And the name just calls out for sunshine!
