Going GaGa for PekaS May Group Gift!!

After getting dressed in my new outfit, I wanted to find someplace fun to hang out…. I found the INSILICO  sim, which is a Cyberpunk roleplay community @ http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/INSILICO/190/183/3603… You dont have to be a RP player to enjoy this sim though!!!  It’s got a full shopping district, dance halls, RP areas,  as well as apartments you can rent if you are looking for a new home in an environment that is certainly playful on the senses!!

Apparently I wear my GAGA sunglasses at night!!! … Me and Corey Hart must be cozy and stuff!!  I may not have been sporting armor and a jetpack but I certainly felt stylish in my new outfit from PeKaS… This skirt and top ensemble is May’s Group Gift and fits like a glove <3  It also moves well and is textured with flair…

Well hello there…. fancy meeting you here! or ummm….wait… Hi there folks! …
no no… that’s not quite right either….. *bites her lip* OHH HAI!!! Ah… I guess that will do…. Do *not* let anyone ever tell you that blogging is easy *laughs* totally way harder than it appears… People like Love just make it look easy….

Well if you haven’t figured it out yet…. I am yet another one of those “newbie bloggers” and I am deliriously happy to be here… yep…. this is my picture right here… *CHEESES and points down to pic*

Now I was so trying to.. “you know”.. come out swinging… and after hours of research I figured out something…. I needed to find some other places to hit…. Then I happened to see my little puudy tat running around my SIM and ding ding…. I heard the curious call…. and that meowing…. Oh wait, that was just *Thumpy* (yeah.. I named the cat)

I hit up Curious Kitties for their Spring Festival and found a ton of freebies dangling from the walls <3 *Yay and Stuff*

In the photos I'm wearing Curious Kitties skin, hair, head piece, wings (they have these cute particles that fall like little sparkly dust raining off them gradually) and choker. Their store seems to have doubled in size and it took awhile for me to snag everything… Their spring line is adorable, as I just love Sakura trees and it's filled with them, I might be able to sneak in a couple more items in my next post

I also happened to swing by Chain and Vine and found a new group gift sitting there all pretty like waiting for me to don my tag, click and snag… It's this mesh little white lace ruffle dress, which moves really well

My bracelet is from KOSH and can be found on the marketplace for L$1. It has a texture change hud built in and just seemed to work for me. <3

My last find was these little sneakers, now I found them on the marketplace for L$5 and I was like… Oh okay, yeah those are cute… then I put them on and they were white and I was like.. *BOGGLE* and there in the folder was a hud… Now… I can make these lil guys any color I want… and it allows me to change the laces/hole rings/main body/and the rubber bits… to different colors… CHA-Ching!!! total score for the Care-bear.

Alice In RMK Bunny Hunt

The second annual Alice In RMK Bunny Hunt began on March 1st and runs until March 31st.  There are 26 absolutely free prizes to be found in this hunt.  I have put together a post of a handful of the items just to give you enough of a taste to get your butt down to the RMK sim and check it out.  This isn’t your usual “find the icon and grab the prize” kind of hunt.  This hunt is a hunt with a twist!

You can find hunting instructions and a list of participating stores at their official blog in several languages, but I’ll give you a simple rundown here

First thing you do, is go to the STARTING POINT.  There you will accept the hunt terms, and walk through them.  Then you will click on Humpty Dumpty to receive your free Card Soldier outfit.  There are several Card Soldier Outfits, but you can only receive one.  Some are rarer than others.  This is the perfect hunting outfit because it doesn’t contain any scripts and will ensure you have a low lag experience, but you don’t have to wear it to hunt!  After you have collected your Card Soldier, you can enter through the little door under Humpty to the garden area.

Once you are in the garden area you need to chase bunnies!  Literally.. look all over the place (and these are not limited to the garden, they could be anywhere!) for the little grey hoppy bunnies.  Once you have found a bunny, follow it around and don’t lose it, because it will eventually drop a ticket that you’ll need to pick up.  Keep an eye on that bunny, because it will only be dropping one ticket, and anyone could snatch it up before you get it!

After you have your ticket, wear it, and go to the co-ordinating store to search for an Alice In Wonderland Book which you will click on and it will give you the prize.   Normally these books are just on the reception desks, however a few I saw cleverly hidden.  DevinVaughn, who introduced me to this hunt, and was a big help explaining it all, gave me a time saving tip – which was to use the SLURLS on the main blog, not the actual landmarks in the tickets, because some of them are not correct.  There are last minute changes in hunts, and that’s to be understood with all that goes on organizing a hunt, but the SLURLS on the website work!  If you receive duplicate tickets, you can trade with others.  There is a Ticket Trading Area… but you can trade anywhere.

Dirty Little Secret Hunts and Group Gifts

Dirty Little Secret is a new store to me and I am very happy I came across it while at the Cart Sale the other day. They are taking part in a few hunts over August and also September. I will show you the August prizes and also a few of the group gifts that they have out.

Curious Kitties and The Little Bat

I am obsessed with Super Dollfies in RL. If you don’t know what Super Dollfies are, they are Ball Jointed Dolls that are collectable. You can buy plain ones and dress them entirely yourself or you can buy them ready made. I have several of them and I love that thanks to Curious Kitties I can now wander around SL as one!

If you go to the Unreal Fuzz section of the Curious Kitties main store, you can find a whole freebie set which includes the head, mesh body, clothing and hair for you to begin your journey into the world of being a cutesy BJD!

The first picture shows the freebie head, hair and clothing you can find in the starter pack. The second picture shows the second set of freebie hair available and also the group gift Jeans that are available nearby! There are two sizes of jeans in the pack, one for the smaller Unreal Fuzz avatar and one for normal avatars.

The other group gift is a HUD that applies this Watermelon make up to your Unreal Fuzz head! How cute is that?

Now I have to be different as I like to wear the dolls head on its own with my own shape. If you want to do this you will need to edit the dolls head to make it larger like I have so you can wear it with your own shape.. you will also need to find some prim eyes to fit the doll head. I have used the liquid eyes from Ibanez that cost 99L and attached them to my nose then adjusted them to fit the sockets.. You will also need to use hair that isnt mesh and stretch that to fit like I did with the Horizon hair from Elikatira! It is a little tricky but the end result is very much worth the fiddling!

Here I am wearing the 10L dresses from The Little Bat that you can find at The Cart Sale. Also worn is the Batty Elegance collar! I think the overall style of the outfits suit the Dollfie look very much.

The Little Bat also has this adorable dress on their cart that is priced for 1L! How can you resist for 1L!

You can also find this beautifully crafted Filgaree Doll Key that attaches to the back of your avatar to make it look like you are a wind up doll. There are two versions included. One that is static and one that turns which adds an extra cute dimension to your dolly look!

MESH Is Coming

As we all know MESH is coming, and coming fast. Curious Kitties has a MESH dress out for free. The only catch is you have to be on a MESH viewer AND be on a MESH enabled sim. Curious Kitties Gothic Fuzz on Cutie Land is a MESH enabled sim. BTW, That is where you pick this dress up.

Curious Kitties – Dragon Dress – Darkness is the MESH dress. I did a little experimenting and found out I couldn’t edit the dress at all. No up, down or stretch, I’m assuming this is because it is a MESH and not a prim. It’s a gorgeous embossed satin dress, all one piece. It does have a shirt and panty layers along with an alpha layer to hide the middle of your avie. I’m excited for MESH to get here.

This is what the Dragon dress looks like on a non- MESH sim. It’s a prim and can be edited. I hope MESH hurries up and gets here. It frees up a lot of attachment points so you don’t have to remember to “add” instead of wear. *rolls eyes* I always forget that. Notice the difference in the hair also, its the same hair. The top is on the MESH enabled viewer, the bottom is on Phoenix.

I won ADN‘s Cyber Manga on the MM board last night. I love the sexy futuristic look of this outfit. It kinda makes me feel invincible. It comes with all the amour you need for whatever you run into in SL. It comes with Digi feet instead of shoes or boots to appeal to our furry friends.
