Free as a Dove

Not long ago, a reader IM’d me to say that The Free Dove had added quite a few new designers and items. The Free Dove is a store with the new resident in mind; everything in the store is free, and you can find just about anything a new resident might need. Of course, I’d been to The Free Dove before, but not in quite a while, so I thought I’d head over and see what was new. I was so pleased to find that there are indeed many new designers and items, including some who are probably on your list of favorites! I picked up this sexy leather leggings and jacket combo (includes belt and ruffled choker) by Indyra Originals, and a few other items that I’ll probably show you later.

I got a notice this morning that {{BSD Design Studios}} had opened up their VIP group for free membership for a short time, so I stopped by and joined, and picked up the May group gift: this gorgeous pair of grey croco shoes. They come with a skin/nail HUD which is pretty easy to use. It was not specified in the message as to how long the group would be free to join, but I believe it will be at least until the end of the week. Don’t delay though; they offer great group gifts, and now’s the time to get in for free! Oh, and while I was there, I picked up this red croco bag, which is a free gift for AVENUE Magazine Readers (free to join).

My skin is called Emilia, and is another that was in the box I told you about last week for new Cupcakes subscribers. Emilia comes with 10 different lipsticks, 4 types of cleavage, and 2 pairs of eyes. Oh, and you can pick up this scrumptious hair by D!va at this month’s round of Collabor88. Pearls In The Sand

*RoTtEn DeFiAnCe* recently sent out a MASS group gift to her group of these beautiful starfish/pearl accessories with many and I mean MANY options. The group gift contained around 200 options of all the accessories and jewelry. Wow right? I just can’t get over the quality and quantity of this group gift. Just amazing. To go with the pearl headband I threw back on the free pearl necklace from Lazuri’s Marketplace that I had shown in my previous post. I had my nails done in a french tip style for this outfit which just so happen to be a free gift for Slink’s avatar enhancement hand and feet from *League*. The nails come in around 20 tones for your choice for many styles or skin tones. And the finishing touch to this beautiful outfit is this icy winter eyeshadow I picked up from *Tori-Tastic* for only 2L. Many of the beautiful eyeshadows from this store I use to put a finishing touch on many of my outfits since they’re in a great color range and welly priced.

Well I’m getting sand in my heels so I need to get them off and shake it out.

Friday GuyDay: Fields of Green and Gold

With all the new ladies here at FabFree, I thought maybe we could use an infusion of testosterone. So I made an “executive decision” and declared Friday to be GuyDay. It’s still Friday where I am, so I can just squeak this one in under the wire.

My outfit today is made up of a variety of freebies, group gifts, and one very good deal. First, the good deal, which is this mesh sweater and t-shirt by Kauna that Serena picked up for me at this month’s Collabor88. For 288L, you get 5 different colored cardigans, with 5 different colors of t-shirts. You can mix and match the sweaters and t-shirts, or even wear the t-shirts without the cardigan, if you choose. So that’s… what… about 29L per item? Not free, but not a bad deal, either. All items come in standard mesh sizing. You can’t have too many t-shirts and sweaters, can you?

Now, the freebies: these mesh jeans are the current group gift from [meshTheory]. The group is 150L to join, but there are quite a few gifts for both men and women out, and a new gift is available each month. My hat/hair is this month’s group gift from SF Design (100L to join). Both the hat and the hair are color change (and resizeable), so there’s sure to be something for everyone. These awesome mesh sneakers are a group gift from BalkaniK 2.0 (free to join), and come in 7 different colors/designs. Finally, my leather bracelet is a group gift from RONSEM (free to join).

Donna Flora in Mayfair

What’s more fun than an afternoon of shopping? Why, an afternoon of freebies, of course! I wandered into Donna Flora a few days ago, and found this sexy Nadine dress set out as a group gift (free to join). This is a great one for those of you who don’t like mesh, and take a look at that side cleavage! I added my Lolita Espadrilles by [Gos], not because they’re free (they are not free), but to remind myself to tell you that the Gos Boutique group is currently only 50L to join. Group members not only get fabulous gifts, but they also get a 10% discount on every purchase. I don’t know how long the discounted join-fee will last, but it will go back up to 500L when gifts are set out.

I am once again wearing the Glam Affair Margot skin, which is featured at the current round of Collabor88. I know, I know; I wore this one last time, but I bought the fatpack, and just couldn’t help myself! My earrings are a Donna Flora dollarbie (1L) called Violetta.

Also in the Donna Flora dollarbie section is this pretty, pink Bijoux dress, perfect for a night on the town. Just little me… all alone… waiting for my ship to come in. And celebrating the arrival of spring in this stunning Aquarelle Gown in Turquoise, the latest group gift from ::PurpleMoon:: Creations. The ::PurpleMoon:: group is 50L to join, but the gifts are generous and frequent, and so worth the Lindens. After all, 20,000 members can’t be wrong, can they?

This luminous skin is Margot, the latest release from Glam Affair featured at the current round of Collabor88. I love the subtle freckles, and her wry, knowing smile. My hair, which I’ve shown before, is still available as a free group gift at “”D!va”". It comes with a dress, texture-changing flowers, and a wig with a couple of extra buns on top. I wanted to add some simple jewelry, so I went with Beloved Jewelry’s Modern Flowers in Silver set, which I found on the Marketplace for only 1L.

Today I picked up the April group gift at LIV Glam and was pleasantly surprised with a vibrantly coloured summer mesh dress called Jasmyne Print Dress. This off the shoulder beauty will have all heads turning your way! The group is 500L to join, however there are new gifts every month and well over 100 gifts to pick up making the fee well worth it.

Epic Findings at the Spring Fling Hunt

Lucifer’s Heart <3′s New Residents!

Hello Fabulouses! I’ve been super sick for the past couple of weeks, and I am SO glad to be back now. Feels kind of like I’ve been climbing out of a big hole… I’m still not at the top, but at least I can see daylight now! But enough about me… I’ve got a lot to show you tonight!

Here at FabFree, we have a special interest in helping new residents find something great to wear. That’s why I was particularly happy to hear that Lucifer’s Heart was offering a special “Noobie Gift” for new lady residents who are 60 days or younger. I’m only showing you two of the outfits here, but there are quite a few items in the box. You’ll have to go grab the box to find out what else is in there! And be sure to also pick up the 1L pair of eyes while you’re there (free for everyone). Here, I’m wearing the Vicky pants with the Olivia top and Sami bra. And who are my friends? I’ll tell you that in a moment.

I know redheads aren’t supposed to wear orange, but I really liked this cute, mesh Paige dress. It also comes in teal, and there are similar dresses in steel and maroon. Cashmere and Suede: Tuesday’s Temptation

Laptop, scanner, magnifying glass… I’m heading out for a long day of research at the library, and I sure hope I didn’t forget anything. I certainly didn’t forget to wear this fabulous new group gift from Baby Monkey. The group is 250L to join, but in this gift alone you get the mesh sweater and skirt, plus these cute ankle boots. There are several other gifts still on the board, so you’ll come away with plenty of really great stuff, with more to come!

My necklace and earrings are the latest offerings from Maxi Gossamer at the February round of Collabor88.
