Dirty Turkey Hunting

The Dirty Turkey Hunt V3.0 began on November 1st and runs until November 30th!  If you haven’t checked out the official blog for this hunt yet, be sure to – because there are approximately 150 designers participating and the gifts (which are free!) that I have picked up so far, are a lot of fun!  The icon to search for is a little round turkey box.  In this post, I am displaying a few of the prizes you can find, and will be sure to show you more as I pick them up!

The playful hat I am wearing is called the Kawaii Turkey Chapka and is the gift you will find hidden at EPIC.  The Pilgrim Girl pose shown above with the pumpkins and the rifle can be found at Sparrowtree Studio Poses and also comes in a guy’s version.

SAKIDE never disappoints with their hunt gifts!  They are always so generous with mix and match pieces, layers and options.  Their gift for the hunt is called the Huntress Outfit and it includes the Nature Bra & Panties Set shown above and the mesh Huntress Top and matching skirt below.

Eskimo Fashion Brings The Heat!

The Eskimo Fashion’s Vanity Shack, has quite a bit of freebies once you join the group, which you can do once you enter the mainstore. I am such a fan of this denim jacket, and I decided to be a little risky but not wearing anything else underneath because think the jacket covers the girls just fine. I like how there is a mixture of textures between black leather and denim, I think it adds a little edge that you can either soften with a turtle neck top or spice up.

Now just because its Fall, doesn’t mean we don’t still have our warm days. So before the snow takes over everywhere, you should still venture over to the beach and wear this colorful dress. The caribbean girl that I am cannot resist colors, and this dress has such a nice mixture of red, yellow, and green. So if you are like me, and have a beach front home or still take trips over to beaches, you will want to snag this dress.

Lastly, this flirty dress can ease on over from summer to fall with some brown boots and a denim jacket. The dress also come with a hud, where you can change the color to four other colors to match your mood. Now, these are just some of the items that are in the Vanity Shack at Eskimo Fashion that I really wanted to share, but there are plenty more goodies left.

Oh, let me share a little interesting fact about me, I like to make certain seasonal looks cross over to other seasons. Its all about color coordination and adding the right mixes of pieces together. These designer create some really great stuff, and its hard for me to turn away from an item just because its an item for a certain season. I encourage you to mix around items and really have your personal style come through.

Digging Out

The first snow of the season is upon me and I remember exactly why I have a dislike for Winter. I’ll stay warm in the Overalls and Sweater, the  group gift from COCO Designs. Love showed this mesh outfit a few days ago, but it works well for guys too. Keeping my feet dry are the TekBoots which is the January group gift at b[ELLE]issima! The unisex boots have a resizer and a color changer to match your outfit.

Checked & Gingham

C’est la vie group members can pick up the orange check wool jacket in store to celebrate 3000 members!  While there I won the olive Gingham check pants and the Halloween black & orange twin stole from the C’est la vie group lucky boards.  The Sarah hair is a L$95 fatpack special from ChiChickie until Monday at midnight.  I am wearing the new EOS skin from R.icielli in the pale skin tone.  The skin isn’t free, but OMG isn’t it beautiful!  I love that R.icielli skins have a mature face.  Anyway expect to see more of these skins cause I’m in <3!!!

*autumn warmth*

Finding my way back in blogging… I am really excited about MESH items in Second Life! I already read about MESH months ago and was really curious. I think this will be a huge improvement for our SL-experience.
Mesh is a capability to bring models, known as meshes, created in other applications into Second Life. Mesh is available now on the entire Second Life main grid. (Source) You have to be in a viewer that is able to view MESH items. I use the official Linden Lab Second Life Viewer. Renee already sent me a notecard with lots of places to visit for Mesh items. Sooo some more blogposts will follow soon! xxx Enjoy ^^

I am wearing the dress as a top and wearing the underpants, which I modified to be a bit shorter, combined with the shirt part. I rightclicked ‘add’ in inventory to wear the tights! The (mesh) boots are so cute!

I still have to learn a lot about Mesh, but I am sure it still needs to be fine tuned. Cause with shadows it shows shadows of the boots AND my feet! Lol!

Native American Indian Girl

I’ve been looking for the perfect outfit to wear with the native hair from (love), that our Love Trill blogged recently.  The Native hair is free in the “Please Make This In SL” inworld group notices.  The hair comes with bangs and no bangs AND a hud to change the hair color.  The beige feather dress is the new gift in the lucky board for C’est la vie group members.  I’ve blogged the bare feet several times before.  The feet are a group gift for COCO DESIGNS members.  You can find all past gifts on the right wall at COCO DESIGNS.
