Blooming Into The Season Hunt

The Blooming into the Season Hunt runs from April 10th – May 10th and has all kinds of springy type prizes in store for you!  There are approximately 28 shops participating in this quick little hunt and the icon you will be looking for is a circular disc similar to the advert shown above.  You’ll know it when you see it!  All of the prizes are free.

Epic Findings at the Spring Fling Hunt

The Lavender Hill Hunt

OoOoOoO This is a fantastic hunt that just makes me feel SO SPRINGY with all of the gorgeous gifts being themed in a sweet shade of lavender  The Lavender Hill Hunt is put on by Monochrome Hunts and runs  from February 25th – March 10th.  Each prize is 5L and the icon you are looking for is a lavender coloured swatch.  There are approximately 20 stores participating in this hunt – so you’ll be done in a jiffy!

Here’s What’s New in 2013!

Believe it or not, I spent New Year’s Eve in bed with the flu… or something just as bad. Not the best kickoff to 2013, eh? But while I could still hold my head up, I spent some time looking for gifts in the New in 2013 Hunt. I don’t know if it was my fuzzy head or what, but I’ll admit that there were a few items I could not find. And another was so big that I could not wear it without eating more Christmas cookies and adding some Lolas! It’s a fun hunt with great prizes, and here’s a mash-up of what I did find… plus a few bonuses.

Above, I’m wearing the complete outfit, including top, pants, and sweater boots, from Shattered by Aluinn (#31). I’ve added the breezy L’Bow Flow by DRIFT (#22). Surrounding me are 4 very stylish lamps from [CIRCA] (#4), and the Fly Away decal is by Wall Candy (#1). My pose is from a set of 3 by Demise of Flight (#24).

These charming CandyApple eyes (below) are part of the gift from IKON (#23). Note: there are 2 sets of IKON eyes in 2 different locations, so keep looking until you find the other set! My Helga hair is from *Alice Project* (#15). It comes with a color-changing HUD, but let me warm you: if you’re going to change the color, read the instructions that come with the hair (notecard in the package). I didn’t (I blame my virus-addled brain), and went back to the store twice for another batch before I realized that I needed to read the instructions! I can’t emphasize this enough.

These Black Cat Leggings are from -ATTIC- (#9), and the mesh arm warmers and cowl scarf are from .::IRON CLAW::. (#11). I added an Intrinsic Tank from JANE (free / 0L) and some boots by Gos (not free). The cute bunny bookcase is from [End of Daze] (#21). My pose is another in the set from Demise of Flight (#24).

This lovely, LUMINOUS gown is the gift from [Liv-Glam] (#25); the bodice is mesh and comes in standard sizing. The mesh cubed bookcase behind me is from ChiC buildings (#17), and the table lamp waaay up high is from .:Senzafine (#3).

This stunning make-up (below) is the gift from Adore&Abhor (#13). The shimmery shadow really complements my icy blue Yue eyes from [UMEBOSHI] (#18). I added the Chantelle Gold/Ruby jewelry set, which is the Peace on Earth Hunt gift from Beloved Jewelry, and the new January gift hair from >TRUTH<, which Love blogged about here. Call me “old school,” but I do love an updo with a formal gown (plus, I just couldn’t wait to try on the hair!).

Here, I’m wearing the purple Duffle Coat from OMG! (#36, mesh, standard sizing), along with the Cool Blue jeans from 20.FIVE (#26 – ironic), and a pair of Boardwalkers from ::Ci Co.:: (#8). I added another tank from JANE, and the Silver Heart necklace and choker, which was Christmas gift from Maxi Gossamer Jewellery (0L / free to join / check notices). My pose is the last in the set from Demise of Flight (#24). The precariously stacked bookcase next to me is from [Atooly] (#12). Is that a 13?

I really need to get out more. So here I am sitting on my new beach house from ..:HC Creations:.. (#29). It’s perfect for a warm-weather getaway – in case you’re super sick of snow by now – and comes with several extra rezzable items (the flower boxes and some posters inside), as well as a little sleeping nook upstairs.

If you are looking for a fun activity to do this month, head down to the Chimeric Arts Pumpkin Patch and bring a friend!  There you can pick a pumpkin from the patch, and carve a unique jack-o-lantern for yourself.  All of the pumpkins are free and you can carve as many as you like and keep them.  I’m calling mine “One Eyed Jack”!  These pumpkins are mesh, so you will need to be on a mesh compatible viewer to see them!

If you look really closely within the pumpkin patch you may find an extra surprise! The hosts of this Pumpkin Patch are also participating in The Trick Or Treat Trail Hunt.  If you come across a crow in the patch, give it a slap because you’ll be gifted with the Chimeric Fashions Pumpkin Mask shown below.

Finding FabFree 41 – 60

Fabulously Free are celebrating 5 years! We all know how time feels in SL. Days can seem like weeks, weeks like months and years like a life time so this is a huge achievement!

I know I am the newest writer on the block but I have been reading FabFree for at least 3 of those 5 years and have always been eager to see the newest freebie finds and reading all about new designers. Furnishings Friday #13 – The Fairest Rose Fable
