Afternoon Interrupted

Oh no! Gavin and I were spending a relaxing afternoon together, and now I walk in to find that Nessie has left me a little… present! BAD NESSIE! Sigh… it has really been one of those days, so I guess this should be no surprise.

While I’m cleaning up, take a look at Gavin. He’s wearing the new Chris skin/shape/hair from REDGRAVE. Not free, but soooo handsome! His outfit, on the other hand, is free, and is the .:Mr. Hunter Hunt:. v.IV gift from Shadow Moon (0L). It includes the mesh shirt and vest, pants, and boots. There’s also a pair of sunglasses in the box, but instead he’s wearing these new Smoovies glasses from the Bitch/Bastard Store. For 1L, you get your choice of 4 different colored lenses. The frames also come in tortoise shell, if that’s more to your liking, and there are sizes for the ladies, as well (1L each).

As for me, I’m wearing a mesh outfit from {Liv-Glam} which is currently featured at Fi*Friday for only 55L. My shoes are one of the new group gifts at Baby Monkey (250L to join), and come in 9 different colors. I’m once again wearing the Classic Pearls jewelry from Lazuri, this time in completely different colors. Oh, and my skin is from [ROCKBERRY], and is currently featured as a free gift at FabFree Headquarters. Uma comes in 4 different skin tones.

Cashmere and Suede: Tuesday’s Temptation

Laptop, scanner, magnifying glass… I’m heading out for a long day of research at the library, and I sure hope I didn’t forget anything. I certainly didn’t forget to wear this fabulous new group gift from Baby Monkey. The group is 250L to join, but in this gift alone you get the mesh sweater and skirt, plus these cute ankle boots. There are several other gifts still on the board, so you’ll come away with plenty of really great stuff, with more to come!

My necklace and earrings are the latest offerings from Maxi Gossamer at the February round of Collabor88. Called Khaleesi’s Temptation, both are texture change with gold/silver metals and 12 gem/stone combinations. Finally, since I have so much to carry, I picked up this Big Satchel from ::Duh!:: for 20L to hold it all.

Soleil, Candy, and Coco at the Beach

That title sounds like an exotic drink, and to be honest, I could really have used one today. For starters, it was Monday, and that should have been bad enough, right? Well, it wasn’t, and making matters worse, my car battery was DOA this morning, leaving me grounded for the day, and my dog left me a little “gift” on the carpet. Thankfully, I didn’t get any gum on my shoes like Love did, but I did run into a couple of doors. Sheesh! So the first chance I got, I grabbed my bag and headed out to the beach for a little peace and quiet.

Needing something comfy to wear, I slipped into this pretty, mesh maxi-dress, which is Prism’s Night of the Wolf Hunt gift (#87). Just perfect for strolling along a sunny SL beach in January.

In my “stressful day survival kit,” I have all the essentials for relaxing at the beach: water, sunscreen, my iPad, and a couple of fashion mags. You, too, can de-stress with one of these cute bags by heading over to *COCO* and joining their free group. Plus, there are lots of other gifts on the wall just waiting for you to scoop them up!

Yesterday, I showed you a skin by {.essences.}, which is available this month at The Dressing Room Fusion. Well, I liked it so much that I ran over to their main store to pick up the free group gift that Love wrote about here. Turns out that {.essences.} is participating in the Womenstuff Hunt, and has this lovely Soleil skin (below) out as one of their gifts. I think she has a very youthful, fresh-faced look, don’t you? And the name just calls out for sunshine!

I promise I’m not stalking Love, but after she wrote about the adorable gift hair from Amacci, I decided to head over and pick one up for myself. And while I was scoping out Amacci’s freebie wall, I found these GreyBrown eyes. They come in 2 sizes, and with some extra bling, if you’re feeling particularly sparkly. I wonder how long I can park here before the police make me move again? There are new Midnight Mania items on the boards at PeKaS. One of the gifts available to be won is the Wolfenstein Outfit. Is outfit includes a brown leather jacket, a ripped t-shirt and brown pants. I picked up the Destroyer Boots, one of the many group gifts at G.O.T.H.

I’m still rockin’ the Mohawk I found on the MOOLTO Sisters Hunt at CaTwA. The hair comes in three shades. One of the other gifts I found at :sey is the Edokin Necklace. The gift room is worth checking out. Oh great, here comes a squad car. I better hook the trailer back up. -sigh-

The Shopaholic’s Cynful Closet

To welcome in the summer Cynful has a new L$10 offer. The yellow strapless dress is highly detailed and very short! After putting the dress on, it was quite obvious that something was needed to cover my bits! So I asked the Fabulously Free in SL group for help finding some leggings. Designer, Alessia Rodeyn of Amitiel et Camael came to my rescue with a nice pair of brown leggings. She has graciously put the Renee leggings (yes, they are named after me! *squeals*) for sale at her store for only L$10 and she even made them color changeable! The Wild leopard print Coquette platform pumps are a group gift for N-core members. At the moment, it is free to join the N-core group.
