Recently, I had an IM from distraught reader, Itali… who was in a real pickle! She had deleted her ENTIRE HAIR FOLDER :O (I would have just passed out – like forever!). That type of event would be catastrophic to a hair whore such as myself and I just felt terrible for her. While there was nothing I could do about all of her missing hair, her story inspired me to do a post on FREE HAIR… I have compiled a list of 50 free hair styles (ok, ok… one of them is 1L – don’t be all “Looooove… “. Sassy Blood Sucker

Sassy has so many treats for us this month! They are participating in a whole bunch of hunts, have group gifts out, as well as a midnight mania board, a lucky chair and also they are participating in the Spooky You Event, so they have a 10L item there too!

The following photo displays the item you can receive by hunting down a small purple potion bottle (The Charm Potion Hunt). This is called Vixen and includes the buckled shirt and pant set, and also the matching gloves in a gorgeous emerald colour.

The Last Butterfly

I can’t believe it’s almost mid September already, the butterflies are still flying around my garden, but I imagine not for long…

Sweet Leonard has a new group gift for it’s VIPs (70L to join) called The Last Butterfly and it includes a necklace and ring adorned with colourful butterfies. Paper.doll also has a new group gift out (200L to join). It is the primmed MaryJane top in the photo below. I am featuring the lemonade colour because it looks great with the butterfly accessories, but also in the gift was hot pink and sky blue.

I am also wearing the Emotions Headband which is also a group gift from Sweet Leonard. You can find these adorable Naida Sandals and also the Pixie Juice at the Battle Fairy Cart at The Wash Sale for 10L each. The sandals are also available in a lighter beige colour also for 10L.

Mission: Little White Skirt & More!

I popped into Y&R today on a mission to find a little white skirt and found just what I was looking for… and also – two newer lucky board prizes! The Short Jacket in pink was the first win. I have layered the jacket over Fri.day’s Basic White Cami Freebie and paired it up with the skirt I was hunting for lol, isn’t it cute? It is called Short Laced Skirt and is just 40L. While I love hunting for freebies, I also think it’s a good idea to support the shops so they can continue to make us these wonderful creations. We would be naked without them! The accessories I have on with the outfit are Caroline’s Bellini White Pearl Necklace and Bracelet which is a freebie at The FabFree Station, as well as Pepper’s Pieces Ring which is a 5L dollarbie at Pepper.

My second lucky board win at Y&R was the Off-Shoulder Blouse in brown that has the sweetest lace trim across the top. It also appears to go quite nice with my new white skirt!

Vintage Love

I came across a “new to me” store today called Ivalde. This store is full of dishy vintage styled women’s clothing and offers several gifts, such as the one I am wearing. This is the most recent group gift that includes the high waisted denim Jeanny shorts and Zaira White Top with the sweet cotton eyelet print. The Ivalde group is free to join.

When I saw this necklace Pepper was offering for Lazy Sunday, I knew I had to have it. Had my name written all over it actually (bad joke lmao.. sorry!). This necklace is not free, but is just 70L.

Mamboo Chic has a new gift for it’s group members called Felicia. This skin is so soft, and sweet – I love the way Mamboo Chic skins look so natural and shiny. The group is 300L to join, but I wanted this skin anyways and I am sure there will be future gifts ahead! You have to join the group and check the notices for the gift. I better get started on my letter to Linden Labs right now – I’m gonna need more group spaces!!

See you Under The Sea!

One of my favourite things to do in SL is to throw on some sparkly fins and explore under the sea. You’d be surprised to find almost as much happens under the water as it does on land in Second Life! While you can spend a ton of lindens putting together mermaid costumes, you can also come up with some very nice inexpensive aquatic costumes as well. The first thing you will need is a mermaid AO so that your legs stay together when you move around. You can find a free basic Mer AO at Pacific Sunrise. You can of course purchase mermaid AOs with more options and swim aids to help you move around in the water, but to get started a basic mermaid AO is just fine.

The skin I have chosen to wear in this post is called Skintimate 75L Gift Exclusive and you can find it at the 75L Skin Store as a free group gift, along with a couple other free gift skins. The group is currently free to join.

Below are a few free or nearly free mermaid sets I have found in my swimmy travels this week.

1. Club Mermaid – Neptune Mer

3. Pacific Sunrise Halloween Tail

The Halloween Tail is full with large fluttery fins – quite an eye catching piece! This is a group gift at Pacific Sunrise for 1L (group free to join).

4. Pacific Sunrise Thanksgiving Tail

Thanksgiving Tail from Pacific Sunrise is a 1L group gift (free to join) that has a big billowy feather tail, and also a matching hair piece.

5. Pacific Sunrise Mer-Starter Kit

For just 10L you can pick up the The Mer-Starter Kit from Pacific Sunrise that includes a Koi Tail and matching top, as well as a mermaid AO, a couple of gestures and… my favourite part… the mouth bubbles. Get Lucky At Sassy

Letter L finally came up on both of these lucky chair prizes at Sassy! Sassy is so generous with her group gifts, hunt items, lucky chairs and midnight mania boards, it feels like Christmas every time I visit!

Shredded Dress in Red was my first win and is a hot little number! It’s a shredded strapped mini-dress with matching panties that peek through. The colour is gorgeous!

I have added The Red Bonnie Shoes which is the latest free group gift from Mary Jane Shoes. The group is free to join. These shoes come with an options hud and are very well made shoes.

My second lucky chair win was the Sassy Seduction Dress in pink. It features spaghetti straps and side straps – really cute dress! I am also wearing Tres Beau Ribbon & Pearls Earrings and Choker set which I picked up at Mimi’s Choice for 1L. The ribbon is colour change so you can match it up with you outfits!
