Cashmere and Suede: Tuesday’s Temptation

Laptop, scanner, magnifying glass… I’m heading out for a long day of research at the library, and I sure hope I didn’t forget anything. I certainly didn’t forget to wear this fabulous new group gift from Baby Monkey. The group is 250L to join, but in this gift alone you get the mesh sweater and skirt, plus these cute ankle boots. My necklace and earrings are the latest offerings from Maxi Gossamer at the February round of Collabor88. Called Khaleesi’s Temptation, both are texture change with gold/silver metals and 12 gem/stone combinations. Finally, since I have so much to carry, I picked up this Big Satchel from ::Duh!:: for 20L to hold it all.

The Many Facets of Prism

I’d like to join with Love in offering my deepest sympathies to all who were affected by today’s terrible tragedy in Connecticut. I have a little one at home myself, and I can’t even begin to comprehend what those parents and families must be going through right now. So very sad.

Sigh…

Many stores on the grid are quite generous with group gifts and hunt prizes, and Prism is certainly one of those stores. Every time I visit, I’m amazed at all the fabulous gifts. Above, I’m wearing Holly, one of the December group gifts. It comes with the pants, belt, and lovely brocade corset. The Prism group is free to join.

My skin is the current group gift from Al Vulo, and is called Eleonor * Son of Flowers. I’m not typically a “freckle person,” but I really think this skin looks pretty with my red hair (confession: I added a bit of lip gloss). The Al Vulo group is also free to join. My hair is called Koko, and is one of the advent gifts from *Alice Project*. My earrings, necklace, and bangles are part of Ear Candy’s Candy Cane 4 Hunt gift. There’s also a pair of snazzy red shoes in the box, so don’t miss this generous gift! Oh, and my sweet little bird ring is an advent gift from Ginza Jewelry.

Actually, I think I’ll wear this luscious Lucia dress, which is Prism’s Peace on Earth Hunt gift. I love the sparkly shrug over the plunging, green top. Yummy! My sky-high pumps are a lucky board prize from Baby Monkey… can you believe that I walked into the store thinking, “come on, mama needs a new pair of red pumps,” and there was a big S on the board! That almost never happens to me!

As much as I love dressing up for a party, I also enjoy relaxing in a comfy sweater and jeans. This Funky Christmas Tree Sweater is another group gift from Prism. I’ve slipped on the cute Bally flats from Lindy’s Peace on Earth Hunt prize (there’s also a pair of black heels in the box), and have taken off my lip gloss, so you can see my skin in it’s pristine state.

Nevermore 1st Annual Summer Solstice Hunt

The Missing Mo

I was looking for hunt items from the Movember Month in Second Life Hunt, and the next thing I know was waking up on the Tire Pose from C.B.Design Furnitures. I had better check I have everything. I still have my Raymond Loafers from Baby Monkey Shoes. I hate walking around barefoot.

I reach for my back pocket and find my Chained Wallet from Allusions is still in place. I’m glad it was chained to my belt.

I still have my Black MoMOSL T-Shirt, which was a group gift from the Movember Month in Second Life Group. Feel free to join this group by finding it in my profile. I feel like I’m missing something. I feel my lip and realize someone stole my mo. Dang me! I know I have an extra mo in my bag.

GryphonWings is taking part in the Ink’D Hunt this month. The gift is the Special Edition Grunge Jeans. Renee showed them the other day, but they look great on guys. My Vega Wife Beater came out at the gacha machine at WoE.

I normally wouldn’t wear sneakers with a suit, but I just received the Baby Monkey Blue Striped Skate Shoes out of the FabFree group notices. Baby Monkeys On Your Feet

I think quality mens shoes for little or no cost is a tough thing to find. Next to hair, it’ probaby the one item that I am probably the pickiest about. I ran across some free loafers at Baby Monkey Shoes. With the choice of brown, black and navy you have the right color for most outfits.

If you head over to HOC Indrusties, you can find some affordable shoes for very little linden. The Skoochers 2pack comes in both brown and dark grey for just 10L. These shoes are very well detailed and you will probably see me wearing these quite often.
