Immersed

Today in my part of the RL world it was actually warm out!  Warm enough to bare a little leg and almost even entertain the idea of a picnic without parkas!  ALMOST…  Anyways, that inspired me to show you this great Maple Greens Picnic Table that is a new group gift at Immerse.  The group is 200L to join but there are group gifts given out from time to time, making it worth the fee!  It includes the food and dishes on the table and comes in a one step rezzer thingy!

The Barbie Dress in Herb is also made by Immerse and is not a free gift, but is currently being featured at this round of the Cosmo Sale Room for just 70L.   These tall black boots have been blogged a few times before here on FabFree, but for anyone who hasn’t picked them up yet – Go directly to Athor, and join their inworld group!  These Dietrish Boots are fantastic

The Young Love Poppies Mix made by Fawn Shadows Forests around my picnic table are also worth a mention here on FabFree because they are just 10L on marketplace!  At 1 prim each, you can copy and plant all over your land!  Flowers, flowers everywhere!

Blooming Into The Season Hunt

The Blooming into the Season Hunt runs from April 10th – May 10th and has all kinds of springy type prizes in store for you!  There are approximately 28 shops participating in this quick little hunt and the icon you will be looking for is a circular disc similar to the advert shown above.  You’ll know it when you see it!  All of the prizes are free.

I Can Barely See – Part 2 of 2

I’m baaaack I want to start by saying… this blog format doesn’t really support wide shots well, so click on the pictures to see a larger photo in my flickr photostream!  Earlier I posted part 1 of I Can Barely See which explained everything I am wearing, but nothing about my super cool new What Next Bloggerista Corner that I put together with 135L.  Most of the pieces were free!

It all started with the What Next Blogger Office that was 100L on marketplace and includes the desk, animated chair, dotty rug, shelf, blogger peg board, the WRITE sign and several fun desk accessories and decorative items. The “I Think Therefore I Blog” peg board was included with the blogger office, however you can purchase this peg board separately on marketplace in a few different colours for 10L if you don’t wish to purchase the whole set.

The Blogger’s Armchair was just 25L and co-ordinates well with the other Blogger office items.  It comes with bloggerista bells and whistles as well like books, and laptops and coffee.

Also in the What Next Marketplace store, I found the 2 pc Summer Prints, the Paper Mannequin and the 3pk of wall decals for free.

That is indeed a cat bed, even if Bundle2 thinks it’s a dog bed. He thinks everything is a dog bed… Madcat is probably hiding under the chair, but that is his new Cottage Cat basket and matching picture frame.  The bed is texture change, and the photoframe is modifiable to add your own photos.  Both of these items are sold together for 10L in the What Next Marketplace shop.

You’ll have to head inworld to What Next for the Hello Spring Drawer Shelf & Eggies and the Who We Love Photo Board that you can add your own photos onto (previously shown by Serena HERE), as they are inworld group gifts (250L to join).

The Spring Is Near Hunt Is A Real Hoot!

The Spring is Near Simwide hunt that is being held at Acid Lily Is still running, and will run until April 9th which gives you plenty of time for hunting!  The Adorable Owl Dress that I am wearing is a gift hidden in a lady bug icon, priced at 5L.  This mesh design is made by LavandaChic and comes in several sizes with an alpha layer.

Another prize I am displaying is the MishMish Shrubbies Plushie (5L) that comes with an animated pose / no pose option.  I have no idea what a Shrubbies is, but it’s awfully cute!

I also want to mention my eyes! Every time Ikon Innovia releases new eyes, I think “WOW, there is no way he can top these”, but it happens time after time!  This time with his new Ardent Eyes that are being featured at The Boutique in several colours.  The warm, inviting shade I am wearing today is called Parchment.

A Guest Post: Devin Vaughn On The RMK Gothic Bunny Hunt

Hi, DevinVaughn here. I’m a menswear blogger at Fashion Freebies For Men who is helping on this year’s Bunny Hunt at RMK Gothic. Love Trill invited me to FabFree as a guest blogger. It’s great to be here and show you two of the prizes for the men. (These pictures are from my photo storytelling series on the Bunny Hunt.) Enjoy!

STORYLINE: A fall from such a height should have resulted in injuries, however Alice was unharmed. She fell on top of the March Hare who had been waiting for the White Rabbit. The March Hare grumbled insults at her she dare not repeat. He dusted himself off, then checked if his horn or fingers were broken.

The outfit for the March Hare is actually an outfit for the women with a nice mesh jacket and corset shirt, but I thought this menswear like outfit had so many nice elements, I could not resist flipping it for male by switching the jacket and shirt. Results I think are good, especially with the MnM rigged boots. Fun.

STORYLINE: The White Rabbit sipped his tea as if he were collecting his thoughts. He pointed to secret agent Playmate. “She works in the casinos. The Cards gang controls all the gambling in Wonderland. They are vicious alley cats. Their leader is rumored to have the power of invisibility. But this devastating skill has a flaw, he can not hide his teeth. The last thing many an indebted gambler sees is the terrifying grin of ‘Fangs.’”

The Cheshire neko outfit from RokumeikaN comes in both male and female versions. The ladies have a skirt with patterned armwarmers, the men have pants with a strap between the legs. The dice and giant pocketwatch are fun props with poses by LaPetiteFleur. Mr Fangs is wearing an awesome prize from Caterwalling Hunt. Alice In RMK Bunny Hunt

The second annual Alice In RMK Bunny Hunt began on March 1st and runs until March 31st.  There are 26 absolutely free prizes to be found in this hunt.  I have put together a post of a handful of the items just to give you enough of a taste to get your butt down to the RMK sim and check it out.  This isn’t your usual “find the icon and grab the prize” kind of hunt.  This hunt is a hunt with a twist!

You can find hunting instructions and a list of participating stores at their official blog in several languages, but I’ll give you a simple rundown here

First thing you do, is go to the STARTING POINT.  There you will accept the hunt terms, and walk through them.  Then you will click on Humpty Dumpty to receive your free Card Soldier outfit.  There are several Card Soldier Outfits, but you can only receive one.  Some are rarer than others.  This is the perfect hunting outfit because it doesn’t contain any scripts and will ensure you have a low lag experience, but you don’t have to wear it to hunt!  After you have collected your Card Soldier, you can enter through the little door under Humpty to the garden area.

Once you are in the garden area you need to chase bunnies!  Literally.. look all over the place (and these are not limited to the garden, they could be anywhere!) for the little grey hoppy bunnies.  Once you have found a bunny, follow it around and don’t lose it, because it will eventually drop a ticket that you’ll need to pick up.  Keep an eye on that bunny, because it will only be dropping one ticket, and anyone could snatch it up before you get it!

After you have your ticket, wear it, and go to the co-ordinating store to search for an Alice In Wonderland Book which you will click on and it will give you the prize.   Normally these books are just on the reception desks, however a few I saw cleverly hidden.  DevinVaughn, who introduced me to this hunt, and was a big help explaining it all, gave me a time saving tip – which was to use the SLURLS on the main blog, not the actual landmarks in the tickets, because some of them are not correct.  There are last minute changes in hunts, and that’s to be understood with all that goes on organizing a hunt, but the SLURLS on the website work!  If you receive duplicate tickets, you can trade with others.  There is a Ticket Trading Area… but you can trade anywhere.
