A Wee Bit of Summer Fun!

Wee Ones is participating in The Beach Party at The Wash this month. No, they are not a store for petites. Actually Cal showed some of the men’s Beach Party items a few days ago, and I’m showing the women’s items here today.

Chop Zuey owner Belle Roussel has recently opened a new Chop Zuey Sky Boutique, which not only features gorgeous jewelry, but also stunning, couture clothing. I finally wandered over there a few days ago, and boy was I surprised: this beautiful dress, fascinator hat, AND jewelry were set out as an opening gift for Chop Zuey group members! The Chop Zuey group is 350L to join, but the gifts… THE GIFTS! And how much do I love this hair? A Mirage at the Beach

I finally got myself over to The Wash Beach Party today, and wow is there a lot of great stuff! If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, then GO! You have until June 19th to pick up these great deals.

Lucky Me!

Did you know that Baby Monkey has lots of lucky chairs? Well, they do, and they’re not all just for members! When I visited there a few days ago, the letter “S” came up four times! I was shocked because “S” hardly ever comes up once, much less four times! Two of the gifts I received were these skinny jeans and snuggly, cropped sweater. Perfect for a cool, summer evening at the beach.

Speaking of luck, I’ll admit that I’ve spent more than a little time and a few Lindens at The Arcade Gacha Fair. I know, I know; shame on me. But I can’t help myself! The items for this round are SO CUTE! My skin, hair, necklace, nails applier, and even my pose are all prizes from The Arcade. None are free, unfortunately, but everything is reasonably priced… unless you get carried away, like I did! Remember, YMMV (your mileage may vary); when you put your money in a gacha, there is no guarantee that you’ll get what you want, so play at your own risk, please. I love the lips and the subtle freckles. My hair is by Clawtooth, necklace by Maxi Gossamer, and nails applier (for Slink Avatar Enhanced Mesh Hands or nails) by Adore & Abhor. Honestly, I’ve been very happy with all the prizes I picked up at The Arcade, even though I didn’t always get exactly what I wanted. My house is so full of orchids that it looks like a greenhouse!

Linden Labs is gearing up for Second Life’s 10th Birthday (SL10B), and the presents have started flowing! Today they released this… ummm…. interesting, limited edition, Commemorative Bear Avatar:

Frilly & Flouncy

I was hoping to post this yesterday, but my RL family got busy doing Memorial Day activities, and I didn’t get a chance. Thankfully, this comfy loungewear set is still available as a free gift from Prim & Pixel. Both pieces are mesh, and the HUD-controlled top lets you select an opaque or peek-a-boo look. Many other colors are available for sale in the store, and you can pick up a set in black for $5 as the P&P gift in the B & W Cat Hunt.

The skin I’m in today is from a brand-new, not-yet-open store called Flounce. It seems that Cupcakes has gone out of business, and one of the owners is in the process of opening Flounce. I popped into the store last night, joined the free group, and found this lovely skin in the group notices (4 brow colors are available). There is also a gift bag with a different skin in it set out in the store. Keep in mind that the store is technically not open for business yet, but it’s very kind of the owner to be thinking of us already with gifts.

Beachin’ It

In observance of Memorial Day, it’s a long weekend here in the U.S. And let me tell you, this extra day off couldn’t have come at a better time! I intend to relax and not do one useful thing today! I’ve headed out to the beach in this comfy, Summer Tropics Watermelon dress and hat, the May group gift from Hudson’s Clothing Co. (free to join). These texture-change sunglasses are a free gift from SteinWerk, and my over-sized beach bag is only 10L from Kakia Designs. It also comes with a lipstick and compact, in case you need to do a little touching up after a day of fun in the sun.

I’m really loving this new skin: Irene, the latest release from Izzie’s. This special version is currently featured at The Dressing Room Fusion for 70L, with a choice of three eyebrow colors. My jewelry, a free group gift from Miel, has been around for a while and shown many times here at FabFree, but I still like it because it’s so versatile. Both the beads and strings are texture-changing, so you can match them to just about anything. My hair was a holiday group gift from LeLutka, but I’m happy to report that you can still pick it up for free in the store. 8 different colors and a hat are included in the box.

A Novel Morning at the Sweet Beans Cafe

Looking for a quiet, cozy spot to sip coffee and read my book this morning, I popped over to the {Sweet Beans Cafe}. This really is an adorable sim, so be sure you take a peek. I love these chairs stuffed with books – a readers delight!
