Day 3 - HAIR FAIR ‘08

Well, I’m slowly going through all these lovely hair styles and I have tons of styles to show you today.

At the booth for Magika Hair there is a gift with three adorable hair styles.  The platinum blonde Dream hair pulled back in a simple barrette is perfect for showing off your beautiful face.  The pixie Cupcake style in black is a cute fun style that would even look great on child aviators.  The long pigtail maroon Flow II style is very classy with a black headband.

Another gift from Maitreya is the Aimee hair.  This hair comes in a fatpack of colors and I’m positive you will find one that works for you.

Adam n Eve has a gift for the females as well as the males.  The swept back Janie style for the ladies comes in a large variety of colors.  There is also a sexy blue Lea teddy and stockings in this gift.  The gift for the men comes with a black Aztec t-shirt and the long Loki hair style in black, blond, and brown.

The Wilted Rose booth has many styles for both the men and women, even some that are versitale.  Men you can get this Bold longer hair in a mega pack of colors.  The black Preppy style and Eddie hair also comes in a large variety of colors.

Wilted Rose also has many unisex styles.  This Beachy Chestnut style comes in a many different colors and the hat is color changeable.   For shorter hair the black Sleek style is nice for both the men and women.  The punkish pink and black Mohawk is wild and has a ton of different color options.

There are also three hair styles specifically for the ladies and all come in a huge selection of colors.  The chestnut Sweeties style frames the face nicely.  I am also wearing the chestnut color in the long Erika ponytail.  This short curly Feist style comes in all colors and has a color changeable hair band.  I instantly thought of FabFree’s very own Scotti when I had this hair on.  Wouldn’t it look adorable on her?  (I actually think I made a fashion faux pas and have a different color bang on with the hair!)

The male skin is a freebie from Belleza.  The female skin isn’t free, but it’s my normal Blowpop Mellie3 skin with freckles.  You can get the unmakeuped naked version for free.

I read today that the Hair Fair is experiencing the worst lag in SL history.  I sent a challenge out for original low lag AV creations.  Lemania Indigo was up to the Low Lag Aviator challenge and sent me her creation.  You can grab the dollarbie Esther WIlliams Low Lag Skin and Eyes at Lemania Indigo Designs Main Store.  This look is very detailed and attractive specially since it’s only one prim!  The log lag look is great for any big event, including hunts and yes even the hair fair.  I loved the eyes so much that I have worn them in every picture.  They are stunning!

The challenge still remains!  Create a low prim AV, the total prims must equal to the magical number of 1 and can not be any higher.  The creation must be original and all your own.

Send me the AV in a folder and either give me permission to share the look in a gift for other members or give me the Slur so I can lead them to it.  Let me share you’re best 1 prim looks.  I want your most clever, cutest, unusual, sexy, witty original creation.

The most important rule is to be creative!

Before I begin this post I must take the opportunity to say a special thanks to all the troops abroad and at home. I have several SL friends who are in the military. Soon, one of my dear SL friends will be leaving deploying overseas for what he refers to as the “the desert”. Mack, take care of your self and yes I will still be around when you get back.

I figured I might need some sexy swim wear to bring in the holiday. The first Bikini is a dollarbie from LVS & CO. All American SlingShot Bikini is a dollarbie from Sweet Nothings. The girl next door Patriot Bikini is 1L from Bella. The red stripe bikini top and blue star bikini bottoms are free from BBEBN Fashions. With the swimsuits I am wearing free US Independence day Bangles from Ephemeral Creations. The US Independence Day Sandals are a dollarbie from She’s So Unusual Shoes.

These cute tank tops from Second Wave went perfectly with my favorite Fetch Alternative cuffed shorts. The Cami tanks are in box of five. The combat boots are another dollarbie that can be found by the poolside at LVS & CO. The flexi Independence Ruffle Top is a dollarbie from Crush Factory.

The blue Patriotic Lady Skirt, top, shoes, and stockings come packaged together in a 10L box at Peeps. I am wearing a free 4th of July hair antenna band from Seasonal Spirit. The second sexy skirt outfit is 1L at ALI Couture. The Patriotic Guy outfit is also 10L at Peeps and comes with the shirt, tie, and denim jeans. The shape, skin, and hair for the male aviator was from a 15 minute camping chair at Relance. The low waist patriotic flag jeans and Blue checked mid-drift I am wearing is from Naughty Sweet. The Red flag 4th of July dress is free from Sun Design (it is suppose to be a dress but the system skirt would not corporate so I am wearing it as a skirt outfit). I have on Patriotic Sunglasses from Role Optics. These have patriotic animation and sound and are a must have for any Independence Day celebration. After the party is over you can tempt your man with this free Patriot Corset Lingerie from Second Wave. I might wear this outfit in a few months when Halloween rolls around too, because I felt a bit like Wonder Woman.

21st Century Statue of Liberty… The skin I have on in this picture above is a group gift from Style Your Destiny. The Statue of Liberty torch and Crown is a freebie from House of Hearts. The tattoos are from Bella, there are two different boxes of patriotic star tattoos available. The hair I have on in all the pictures is from Magika and is called Anti Sicssors. The hair can be found at Savior Hair. The Adhira Skins and Fiction eyes I have on in all the other photos are Skin Within group gifts.

Over at Wilted Rose there are several dollarbies for the 4th of July. There is hair for men and women, a bikini, and a jewelry set located inside the main entrance. Now head to the second floor of the mall area and go into Something Different where there is a free jewelry set for the 4th of July. I did change the hand the bracelets were on because of the torch.

Over at House of Heart is a free Liberty crown and torch. They are located on either side of the customer service desk. Over at Second Wave Apparel there is a free lingerie set that is perfect for the holiday that comes with a camisole, panties and socks. Apparently there are still gifts to be hand in the old Style Your Destiny update group. She gave the group a special 4th of July skin. Do a search in groups for the group called LaynieWear/SYD Update Group. (When I do a group search I use the phrase layniewear and it is the only choice). Join this group. It is free to join. Go to the Notices. Sort the Notices by date. Go to the one dated 7/2/2008 with the subject Happy 4th. Click Open Attachment. You are now the proud owner of a skin from Style Your Destiny. BUTTERFLY PRINCESS offers a very pretty free lingerie called Rosebud (bra and panties on 2 layers, stockings, gloves and skirt). Cute details :-)

At MIROKU´s store you will find a bunch of freebies and dollarbies. First there´s a free blue swimsuit and the cute Swinging Dancing dress (skirt HUD included!). Remember Me comes in white with small pink flowers and the gorgeous Classical Dress in green is amazingly textured (both are dollarbies). Look around, there are more dollarbies for both male and female, and even a cute dress and a men´s outfit for avatars under 60 days.

My hairstyle is le salon by comme il faut (formerly Bossa Nova). You have to join the comme il faut update group. Go to “All” tab in search, use the phrase “comme”, it will be the 4th choice. Join the group, go to notices, there´s one dated 5/23, subject “group liability …”. Click “save/open attachment”. You are now proud owner of a box with hair 3 by comme il faut.
