{May 3, 2008} 19th c. Steampunk Victorian Caledon

Have you visited 19th c. Steampunk Victorian Caledon? On a hotline tip from FlaranChamenthi Rau I had headed over there to look at Silver Rose Designs. Between the landing point and the store were 4 carts loaded up with freebies and dollarbies for the Victorian era. Not only are their clothing and jewelery items but you can get textures, furniture, and more here. The landing point for this area is Caledon VictoriaCity(127,127,44) and from there, the tables are to the south.

Silver Rose Designs is behind the two left carts. Inside the store, to the right and on top of the counter is a box with free Victorian dresses. The entire area is really fun to explore. There is even stuff for the fandom fan(going on a theme here) because many of the outfits can fit some of the sci-fi set in 19th century.

Have you been to Talisman lately? Even if you have, head over there because it is completely changed. Be sure to join the Subscribe-o-matic when you get there for a free dress. The Aly dress should be delivered to you soon as a thank-you for subscribing! - To remove yourself from this Subscribe-O-Matic list, just touch this device again at any time. Remember the subscribe-o-matics can be slow in delivery so it might take a while for your dress to arrive. There is a bank of lucky chairs to the right inside the store. In the southwest end of the store are all of the freebies and dollarbies. You just might find that something that was previously $1L is now free. There are over 100 items so get over there.

Once you are done shopping, go and explore the beautiful changes to the sim. There is a complete mermaid friendly lagoon with canoe rides and more.

{March 30, 2008} L&F has a Gecko Magi for Mina’s Tattoos

I really have to thank Olila Oh for mentioning us in her blog because it is how I found her blog, Olila’s Second Life. The thanks is because for months I have been trying to remember the name of a store with a very unusual freebie display that I was taken to by in my first week of my second life. L&F has 13 free outfits for ladies and a pair of shoes. The clothing is located in the middle of the room on a circular display. Each little “doll” on the table is a full free outfit. There is a bag behind the display on the floor with the pair of shoes.

Gecko is right next door and it is the male line from the same designers. Located in the middle of this store is also a circular display with each little “doll” as a full free outfit. There are 14 male dolls in all. There is also a bag behind this display on the floor with a matching pair of shoes for men.

Mina’s Piercings and Tattoos is right down the road as well. Located inside the entrance to the left and up the stairs there is a display of 10 tattoos marked down to free. There are some of the man and the ladies.

Just as I was getting ready to take pictures, Morpher Waco sent me an IM that Magi Take Shop had a cute free choker. I looked at my outfit and thought to myself, yes, a choker would be great and headed over there. The listed slurl goes to the exact spot but for those walking it is inside the entrance to the left toward the back before the sitting area. The display is on a shelf in the corner of a display.

{March 26, 2008} Land of Lincoln

There is a place you have to visit. It is called the Land of Lincoln and it is located at Land of Lincoln(132,120,22). The entire sim is styled in the 1860s America thus the Land of (Abe) Lincoln. At the landing point there are 3 boxes of freebies. One of the freebies is the 1865 dinner dress that we have blogged twice before from Wunderlich. The other 2 are a collection of 1860 day dress(3 color choices) by LaynieWear and a men’s brocade frock coat from Gaslight Emporium. These 2 collections are only found at the Land of the Lincoln and not in the designer’s stores. I am linking their stores below because both are very talented individuals and they both have other freebies/dollarbies at their main locations. The Land of Lincoln area is educational and beautiful so I suggest you take a look around.
