LaynieWear has released a special skin and eyes set to help protest all of the theft in SL right now. They are a frightening view of what our future will look like in the fashion world if all the designers close up shop. The item is located at her new shop just inside the entrance to the right. You cannot miss the sign that says ‘I Would Rather Go Naked Than Wear Stolen Skin’.

Got it, and wearing it! Sharing the love for our designers.
I think that in the end it’s going to come down to designers policing themselves. Perhaps designers could put together some kindo of original content creators group where admission has to be applied for and membership requires sponsorship by 3 exsting members or something. The sponsors would have a chance to examine the products before the shop opens and thus perhaps avoid all the hate and discontent that is currently going on. I highly doubt any dishonest people would willingly put their shops and/or content up for examination.
Then shops can proudly display membership in the group and we can cheerfully shop there secure in the knowledge that we’re looking at originals.
Wow, Katerina, that’s a really cool idea! Like businesses in RL might display their Better Business Bureau membership, SL businesses could have something similar!

Upon further reflection it appears to me that the Fash Con group is already more or less providing the service I’m suggesting.
